Amazing Weather

Hello. Can you believe Kyle will already be heading home in 2 weeks and I only have 2 months left?! Time has gone by way too quickly. These past few days its been80 degrees here. Weve had so much fun! Yesterday we layed at the lake, played volleyball, had a cookout and went swimming. There was just a huge group of about 50 exchange students hanging out. It was awesome! The weather should pretty much stay this way from now on. So as you all know I tan very easily so after these past 2 days Im looking pretty brown/red :) I finally bought sun tan lotion today and used it for maybe the 3rd time in my life. I know my dad will be so proud when he finds out. Thats a sore subject between me and him. Well here are some nice summery pictures. Miss you all!

Oh and heres the damage :)

Spring Is In The Air

The weather is starting to get warm here and the landscape is just turning more and more beautiful by the day. Yesterday the weather was warm so we walked down to the lake, read, played volleyball and hung out. It was so nice and relaxing to just lay by the water and look at the grassy mountains all around us! Here are a few spring pictures :)

Paris

Our last stop was Paris. I loved it there as well. We spent 4 days there and needed them all. The weather was also not the greatest. Pretty cloudy and drizzly everyday but we did have a few sunny hours here and there. There is so much history behind Paris that I never knew. We took a free walking tour with a guide and it was awesome. Also, the Eiffle Tower... Im obsessed. Did you know there is a women that is legally married to it? I wish I was! It is amazing especially at night when it sparkles. Every hour on the hour it sparkles for two minutes. It is breath taking. The people in Paris were not nearly as mean as I expected but it is very hard to navigate your way through Paris even with a map because the roads are not straight and parallel like were used to in the U.S.

Must Do's/See's in Paris:

  • Eiffle Tower (duh)
  • Free walking tour
  • Versailles
  • The twelve way round-a-bout
  • The Louvre

Ireland

Our next stop was Dublin. The first day was rough. It was freezing, snowing, raining, hailing, and everything else you wish for it NOT to do when youre on Spring Break. I stayed with my cousin Andy and we had a great time. We were in Ireland for 5 days and I wish we could have stayed longer. As far as Dublin goes, I am not a fan. The people are too bizarre, its pretty dirty and well theres not very much to see. Outside of Dublin is amazing! The landscapes and coast is to die for. The weather was ok the rest of the trip but like the Irish say, "If you dont like the weather just wait 5 minutes. It will change." They are one hundred percent right! The pubs there are awesome. The live music and atmosphere is like no where else.

Must Do's/See's in Ireland:

  • Guinness Factory
  • Irish Pubs
  • Cliffs of Moher
  • Just drive along the coast
  • Find abandoned houses from the potato famine
  • Wicklow Mountains
  • Visit Donegal (which I didnt have time to do)

Guinness Factory

 Inside is awesome

The Guinness sold in Ireland is made with water from the Wicklow Mountains

My Guinness! Poured 3/4 with nitrogen and Guinness, settles for two minutes and then topped off with pure Guinness. What an art :)

Back in the day you had to pay half a penny to cross the bridge hence the name Ha'penny Bridge
